I did a luau for Gabi and some of her friends in the summer, it was adorable and we had a blast!

I made some frames so the girls could pose together, and pose they did.

The kids loved panning for gold, one of them slept with their treasure that night, I had spray painted some little stones gold and hid them with the pebbles. Good cheap fun.

This summer I took Gab bowling for the first time (yeah for FREE bowling for kids all summer) she could barely lift the lightest ball and most of them ended up in the gutter, but she had a blast, and honestly I think she rocked the hideous bowling shoes!

This reminds me of that scene in Dirty Dancing when baby said 'I carried a watermelon' ha!

You just have to go for ice cream after all that hard work.

We went to the county fair this Summer it pretty much pissed down with rain soon after we got there, and I mean blowing sideways big mud puddle kind of rain, so they closed the fair and gave us free tickets to come back. I took Gab back a couple of days later and it was about 95 degrees and we went in the middle of the day....it was HOT, we got on one ride and a kid came in out car with us I begged them not to spin us, thank god noone did it was hot as hell in there.....we stayed for a a while and then came home and jumped in the pool.

I forgot to mention that my camera is broken and has been for a few weeks, hopefully it will be fixed soon, I am this far away from running to the store to buy a new one..

Also my computer seems to have eaten up 3 years worth of my photos, I can;t find them anywhere and if it really has I might just drop it from my deck on purpose!

Can't believe it's been over a year since I last blogged, I got used to just posting pics on Facebook and that seemed enough for me, but I miss my blog, and the reason I started this blog in the first place was as a type of baby book for Gabi to look back at when she's older in leiu of baby books and organised photo albums. There is no way I'm going back over the last year and post in order of events, so I will just post past pics in any order.

Well it's been a year of family visits, Gabi graduated preschool and started Kindergarten. Kev got sick, thank god for early detection and a surgery which removed all the cancer, and a couple of good Dr visits since it looks as though he is on a good track and hopefully will never to return, he's quite the trooper!

We've had a couple of fun vacations a great summer with lots of pool time, Gabi learned to swim this summer so did her big Brother Karl, we are proud of them both!

I ran a couple of 5k races that were my first ever...I hve never exercised my whole life or ran so I was quite proud of myself.

Anyway hopefully I will get into the habit of posting often enough to catch up..

Wow the summer went by real fast, looking forward to fall weather we had the hottest summer on record this year!

Blogger has changed the format and I'm still learning how to post, so here are a few pics from our summer.

We went on a rowing boat, whale watching, lots of parks and outdoor free concerts in the parks, playdates hours and hours of pool time, belly dancing, fruit picking lots and lots of fun times, and a summer would'nt be complete without a visit from Lisa and Tom. xx. Hope you had a great summer too!

A little late but, Gabi turned 4 back in June, can't believe it the big 4! I always make her a cake, I am not a good baker luckily it's easy to please a 4 yr old. xx Going to resturant a for hibachi!

I love seeing Gabi playing with her friends, recently it was her bestie L's birthday, here they are at her party They have never found a mirror they don't like.

This is the first time these four have all been together for a while, they were happy to see each other.

Gabi has never picked up a doll and has no interest, she does'nt even want to touch them, but stuffed dogs that's a different matter, she falls in love with every one she sees, they are her babies and she loves them, here are some of them.

We have this amazing park close to our house, me and Gabi took a little hike the other day and saw all these trees that had been engraved with names, I mean tons of them, so we played name spotting.... Of course daddy.

We had to leave our mark!

I loved this, it was my parents initials when they met, I may frame it for my Mom.

School's out for Summer!!!

Well that's the first year of School over...phew! It went so quickly, Gabi really enjoyed it most of the time, there were a few rough days here and there but mostly really good! They put on a little show for us today and it was adorable. Here she is saying the pledge of allegiance. They sang a few songs and said some poems, it was really special.

Gabi didn't know Kevin was coming too we decided to surprise her, and surprised she was, she couldn't take her eyes off him she just smiled and winked at him the whole time, i think it even put her off her singing too, so funny. She clung to him when it was over.

So proud of our 'big girl'.

Saying goodbye to her two awesome teachers, they really loved her and I couldn't have been happier with them.

We recently had the most relaxing, chilled out, perfect, beach bum vacation in Florida, the weather was perfect (no humidity) and only 1 day of rain. We stayed at a beautiful house on the beach. We watched the dolphins in the sea, pelicans diving for fish and built sandcastles. Perfect perfect perfect. This is what we did everyday. Sat here.Watched the sun set every night from our deck.

Watched these birds fishing close by.

A few random pics from the last couple of weeks.

Enjoying the funny mirrors at the Party gym.

Grrrr bloody allergies, poor Gabi has suffered so badly from allergies/hay fever this year lots of itchy eye and nose problems and quite a few nosebleeds.......poor baby takes it all in her stride!

I thought it was too quiet, Gabi found a roll of tape and covered every square inch of this ball in tape, I think it's kinda cool!

On our way to a surprise birthday party. It's funny how often I get Gabi dressed and then me then realise we are dressed in the same colors, I am not that person I usually get one of us changed, this time we had completely different tops on. Gabi loves us to have matching toes.

At the party they served lots of great Portuguese food and two of these pigs, on my first trip I picked the trotter and then the jaw with three teeth on, I had to get Kevin to go and get me a good bit. Yum.

Gabi: Mama is that lady dead?
Me: No honey, oh do you mean the mannequin?
Gabi: What 's a man cake?
Me: No mannequin, it's what they use in stores to display clothing.
Gabi: oh OK.
Gabi: I thought Daddy was dead once........

Then we walked out to the parking lot

Gabi: Mama look at that car
Me: That's a Corvette.
Gabi: I didn't know vets had no roofs.....
She just cracks me up constantly.

Me and Gabi were eating lunch today. we had nice toasted granary bread with lots of fresh chopped tomatoes on top and grapes, we also had a tin of smoked oysters (Geisha brand they sound gross but they are delicious, and they are only 120 calories for the whole tin!).

While shovelling them down her mouth Gabi turned and asked me if they were "dead turtles" yuk, I think she would have carried on even if I said yes.

Late as usual with posting holiday pics. We painted eggs for Easter.Concentrating.

Gabi was pleased with the result.

We had a little Easter egg hunt in the garden.

Loved the hunt, but pics...not so much!

Apparently if you make this little doll laugh too much she will pee herself laughing, literally, twice so far and it cracks me up .....am I odd?

I love the way she is looking at Kevin in this picture.

At the moment Gabi is going through a writing/drawing frenzy, sometimes for hours a day, we must be going through two trees a week! She will not be shown how to draw anything new or any new letters so most of the drawings are, people, toothbrushes, ladders, octopus, circles, eggs and the few letters she can write. She tells me she has to get back to artisting!

Bear bear is still around and is in her arms most of the day too, it now has to come everywhere with her.

We have had some unusually hot days, so we got the water table out, Kiki just jumped up into it as I was taking pictures.

After Kiki drank about a gallon of water, Gabi gave her a bath.

Happy times!

I just got back from a visit to England with Gabi and it always amazes me how strong the bond between Cousins who live 3500 miles away can be. This is the first time all 5 have been together. It's instant when they get back together, they automatically hold hands hug, kiss and just love each other, it makes my heart so happy. This pic was just after we arrived. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I love these little sweet girls so much.

Cuteness.

The boys joined us a few days later, they also slotted right in, Connor is the oldest and all the little girls just love him and he is amazingly patient with them all. I did and Easter egg hunt for them which was fun.

Gabi loved the pebble beach and would have stayed all day if she could.

Ahh, little Millie, Gabi spent every day with Millie and they were just best friends, they are only three months apart and what a special time they had.

Big girl Cousin Erin, what a doll, she loves Gabi so much and the feeling is mutual I wish we lived closer to them.

I put a crappy one of me in so I could have a rare pic of all 5 Cousins.

Baby Archie, he is just lovely and so very busy, you have to steal a kiss from him because he's always on the run, we managed to steal some from this little sweetheart.

I finally got around to posting pics of our trip to Mexico. Mexico is so hard to capture in a few pics. I read a book about San Miguel years ago and always wanted to go, finally got the chance. I took so many pics and I tried (and failed) not to put to many on.......they are also pretty random. So proud of these tiny feet they walked and walked and walked everywhere with no complaints. Every morning started with a beautiful breakfast, family style.

Every day we walked and walked.

Sometimes we chilled out listening to the ipod.

A bull fighting arena, Kevin went with some guys from work before me and Gabi got there, not that I would have gone, I think it's cruel!

She is seriously too much! One night at dinner we were serenaded by Mariachi singers, and on the flight home Gabi was looking at the flight magazine and saw a picture of Elvis Presley with his guitar and she said 'look Mama Mariachi'.

Wacko's. :o)

The Diego Rivera museum was awesome, it was the house where he spent the first seven years of his life and there were 100 original paintings and his crib, very cool!

These people were staying at our hotel, we took a day trip with them and had dinner with them a couple of times, they were a lot of fun, Kevin enjoyed having people to share lots of wine with!

It was a great trip and I hope the first of many to Mexico.
