Dear snow!

OK snow, you are very beautiful and we like to see you now and then, but we have had it for this year. We have had fun playing outside with you but now we're bringing you in....yep that's right when it;s too cold I grab a big tub and bring you inside for Gabi to play with!

We will also make 'redneck' snowmen out of you and.......

then let the dog eat you!

Sneaky.

Look who we caught sneaking around our garden! I have never seen a fox around here before. Now I can add that to the list of things we usually see. Deer, groundhogs, chipmunks, squirrels, rabbits, hawks and the occasional raccoon and snake. I am sooo not a suburbs kind of girl!

Winter olympics.

For the first time I am enjoying watching the winter Olympics. I saw the idea of making Olympics crafts on several blogs. At Gabi's school they are doing mini Olympics. Here's Gabi with the torch.

We made medals with the lids and foil glued on top. Winner winner chicken dinner!

Snow day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Woo hoo another snow day. We have had a lot of snow this year, but today we are getting really belted, about 18 inches so far and still snowing heavy. Everything looks sooo beautiful. Me and Gabi decided to go out to the back deck for a little fun. So very lady like in her snow pants :).

Look the deer even showed up. A few days ago we had more snow and the deer laid down in our garden for hours waiting for the storm to pass. I love seeing them in our garden.

Poor Kev spent the afternoon with the snow blower.

I was taking pics of Gabi the other day and I asked her a question, this was her thinking face! It's new and hysterical!

Karl and Amy..

This post is beyond overdue, back in the Fall Kevin's Son Karl came to visit with his girlfriend Amy, this was the first time we had met her. Amy was really sweet and just so nice and quiet (that's quite a novelty around here). It was fun having them both come and stay and we hope they come back soon. Here they are on Gabi's swing set that our neighbours gave her. Aren't they cute!
